Forbidden - Tabitha Suzuma

It is a forbidden love and if they discover them there will be no happy ending.
Lochan and Maya have felt more friends than brothers. Faced with their inability to care for their alcoholic mother and the absence of a father who abandoned them, the two young men must take care of their three younger siblings and hide their situation from social services, because neither is of age.

The responsibility they share and the difficulties they face unite them, even pushing them to fall in love. Both know that their relationship is wrong and should not continue, but at the same time they can not control their emotions and the attraction that dominates them.

Before starting the review I want to warn you that if you are sensitive to certain issues, either because of your religion or simply because of the taboo in them, it is time to leave this publication.

Prohibited is a book in which develops a romance that as its name says it is prohibited, but the interesting thing is that it is not the typical romance forbidden by social classes, or for fantasy mind to be from different worlds, but is prohibited because Is incest, yes, did not read wrong, speaks of incest. (For those who do not know incest is the love and sexual relationship between close relatives, ie mother and child, father and daughter, or between siblings)

This is the second book with Tabu theme that I read (the first was black ice, review), and I loved it, it is a book that despite having "large" amount of pages, is a fairly fast reading and therefore Short, the truth is that although I loved it I think that Tabitha could have written much more of this story, I even firmly believe that this story in two volumes would have been spectacular, would have allowed us to enter more deeply into the thoughts of such striking and unforgettable characters .

But if I deviate more, the rest of the story I loved, the way the subject is handled is admirable, the writing is not so well written and structured that allows you to feel what the characters are feeling, Makes you suffer just like them, and has the touch of suspense, romance and eroticism needed.

This story is so strong, it breaks all your schemes, it takes you to know new ways to see the world and to interpret what happens around you, and makes you reflect on too many things in your life and in the world.

Personally, this story I reaffirm that I will never agree with the social and religious schemes of our world, while reading it made me think a lot about the Taboo of things so common in life, how Religion can stain so many things , And how schemas divide our world; I am going to share one of the conclusions that I came to after much reflection on the book, and that even several days later I reaffirm with certainty, if you dear reader does not agree is totally respectable, with this I do not want to offend anyone, Nor hurt sensitivities, it is only my opinion and I ask you to respect it.

"Love should not have labels, restrictions and much less impediments, love is just that, love, and I do not think it can be considered sickly, insane, or a crime. It does not matter who you love, because you do not decide it yourself, Many times you fall in love with the less thoughtful person, because love does not choose you, he chooses you, and there is no one who can judge you. The fact that we can not imagine love between two people, does not imply that you can not Give, much less be something bad, what is bad is intolerance and more when it leads us to impose our will on others, it matters whether the love between these two people is not common, which matters if not Do you understand, what does it matter if in your life, thought and belief does not take place, as long as you do not hurt anyone, that you have to judge it or prevent it? Love can not be considered a crime, therefore it should not There are laws that forbid it, after all no matter what, love is the only thing that should move the world. Something of what I am sure and what I am increasingly convinced is that if there is a God who sees everything, he must be compressive, not judge or limit, that I only loved his creation, just as a father loves his children , No matter what they are. I think we should all learn to love, like that God in whom we believe. No matter what the Bible says, after all it is a book written by men, it is their perspective of the world, from their social conflict, and with their own prejudices, the Bible guides you but it is not a book that you should praise , Praise your lord not the worldly. Heterosexual, Homosexual, Incestuous, or any other way that you can think of, they are just labels and prejudices, for me and for the God that I believe in, it is only LOVE, without label and without hatred, even if you do not understand them. Have experienced all "

I think this review has been a little long, but I hope you like it, that motivates you to delve into this wonderful book, and that has made you think, or think about your way of seeing the world, if you read the book and you arrived To a conclusion, let me know, it does not matter that it is not the same as mine, even if it is opposite, I want you to give your opinion, here are not going to be judged, feel free to comment.
